Please join us for our annual fun-filled CISV Selection Overnighter! This event is not only for leaders/delegates interested in this summer’s programs, but also for current or new youth wanting to become or stay involved in CISV. All are welcome!
Announcements will be made in Oct re: the locations for program opportunities for Atlanta candidates. Those interested in applying as delegates AND leaders will be interviewed at this Selection Overnight. Parent interviews will be held at Selection Play Day in January.
We could use SEVERAL volunteers to interview potential delegates! Adult members, please let me know, when you RSVP, if you can stay to help interview. Selection Overnight is for any youth who would like to attend, and is mandatory for anyone applying for Leader or Youth Participant spots for the following: Village Junior Counselor Interchange Step Up Youth Meeting Fortnight, Seminar Camp, International People’s Project
The overnight will include an introduction period for youth and a General Membership Meeting for the Adults. Our Junior Board will lead thought-provoking, educational and fun activities throughout the course of the evening, while adult members will be individually interviewing those interested in this summer’s programs.
Remember to eat dinner before you come, and bring the following:
- completed YLIF ( found in attachment to email sent in September)
- sleeping bag
- sleeping mat or air mattress
- pillow
- toiletries
- something to sleep in (t-shirt, hoody, sweats, etc.)
- a snack to share with the group
- water bottle (with your name on it)
If you have not submitted program applications, as delegate or leader, and are interested, please send electronically (to atlanta-selection@cisvatlanta.org) or bring them with you to the overnight.
We are really looking forward to this evening and do hope we will see you there!
