CISV Atlanta Milestones
A look at 2023
- In 2023, CISV Atlanta sent a total 20 delegates and leaders to represent our chapter at 1 Village, 1 Youth meeting, 2 Step Ups (14 and 15 yr old)
- In Nov 2023, CISV Atlanta hosted the Sothern Regional Mini Camp. We had 82 participants (adults/children) from chapters across the southeast (Miami, Smokey Mountain,Chattanooga, Jacksonville0
- We had one Junior Branch and One adult delegate attend CIM.
- CISV Atlanta held a local mini camp.
A look at 2017
- In 2017, we had 19 delegates and leaders represent our chapter in 2 Villages (1 Village representative as Junior Counselor), 1 Interchange, 1 Step Up, 2 Youth Meetings, and 1 International People’s Project.
- In January 2017, 7 Junior Branch members and 1 JB chaperone attended the Chattanooga Mini Camp held in Soddy-Daisy, TN.
- In May 2017, over Memorial Day weekend, 3 Junior Branch members and 1 JB chaperone attended the National Mini Camp held in Austin-San Antonio, TX.
- In September 2017, 12 youth and 3 adult chaperones attended the Southern Regional Mini Camp in Jacksonville, FL. Participants came from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Gulf Coast-Mississippi, Jacksonville, and Smoky Mountains-Knoxville.
- In October 2017, 2 Junior Branch and 2 adult delegates attended the CISV In Motion Conference held in Cincinnati, OH.
A look at 2016
- In 2016, we had 18 delegates, leaders and staff represent our chapter in 2 Villages (1 Village representative as Junior Counselor), 1 Step Up, 3 Youth Meetings, and 3 Seminar Camps.
- In October 2016, 2 Junior Branch and 3 adult delegates attended the CISV In Motion Conference held in Cincinnati, OH.
- In September 2016, 17 youth and 4 adult chaperones attended the Southern Regional Mini Camp in Atlanta, GA. Participants came from Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Smoky Mountains-Knoxville.
- In June and July of 2016, CISV Atlanta hosted 24 16-18 year-old delegates and 4 staff at our “Shaping Our World Drip by Drop” Youth Meeting.
- In May 2016, over Memorial Day weekend, 4 Junior Branch members and 1 JB advisor attended the National Mini Camp held in Pittsburgh, PA.

- In 2015, we had 13 delegates, leaders and staff represent our chapter in 4 Villages (2 Village representatives as Junior Counselors, 1 Village delegate in a chapter-share with Northeast Ohio Chapter) and 1 Step Up.

- In September 2010, CISV Atlanta hosted the Southern Regional Mini Camp with Junior Branch participants from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Gulf Coast-Mississippi, Jacksonville, and Smoky Mountains-Knoxville.
- In July 2010, CISV Atlanta hosted thirty-six 15-year-old delegates, 9 leaders, and 4 staff at our “Transforming Our Future” Summer Camp.
- In April 2010, our Junior Branch participated in International Global Youth Service Day with one of our Like-Minded-Organizations, Fulton Truitt 4-H Center doing a site clean-up in College Park, GA.
A look at 2009
- In 2009, we had 18 delegates and leaders represent our chapter in 5 Villages (2 Village representatives as Junior Counselors) and 1 Seminar Camp.
- In October 2009, 3 Junior Branch delegates attended the National Board meeting held in Cincinnati.
- In September 2009, CISV Atlanta hosted the Southern Regional Mini Camp with Junior Branch participants from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Gulf Coast-Mississippi, Jacksonville, and Smoky Mountains-Knoxville.
- In May 2009, over Memorial Day weekend, CISV Atlanta hosted the National Youth Meeting (now known as National Mini Camp) with youth attending from 22 USA chapters.
- In April 2009, our Junior Branch participated in International Global Youth Service Day with one of our Like-Minded-Organizations, Fulton Truitt 4-H Center doing a site clean-up in College Park, GA.
A look at 2008
- In 2008, we had 15 delegates, leaders, and staff represent our chapter in 4 Villages (1 representative as a Junior Counselor, 1 as staff, and 2 as director), 1 Summer Camp, and 1 Seminar Camp.
- In October 2008, 2 Junior Branch delegates attended the National Board Meeting held in Cincinnati.
- In September 2008, CISV Atlanta hosted the Southern Regional Mini Camp with Junior Branch participants from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Gulf Coast-Mississippi, Jacksonville, and Smoky Mountains-Knoxville.
- In June-July 2008, CISV Atlanta hosted 48 eleven-year-olds, 6 Junior Counselors, 12 leaders, and 4 staff at our “We Have a Dream” Village.
- In May 2008, over Memorial Day weekend, 2 Junior Branch members attended the National Youth Meeting (now known as National Mini Camp) hosted by the Gulf Coast Chapter.
- In April 2008, our Junior Branch participated in International Global Youth Service Day by volunteering for a “Clean-Up Day” at Fulton-Truitt 4-H Center, College Park, Georgia.
- In April 2008, 1 Junior Branch representative attended the national Chapter Development weekend in Cincinnati.
A look at 2007
- In 2007, we had 21 delegates and leaders represent our chapter in 4 Villages (2 representatives as Junior Counselors), 1 Interchange, 1 Youth Meeting, and 1 International Peoples Project.
- In November 2007, Atlanta Chapter participated in Gulf Coast Katrina Relief Weekend VI with Junior Branch representatives from Atlanta, Gulf Coast, and New York chapters.
- In October 2007, 4 Junior Branch delegates attended the National Board Meeting held in Cincinnati.
- In June 2007, CISV Atlanta Chapter hosted a Mini Camp with Junior Branch members from Atlanta and Rocky Mountain Denver Chapters.
- In May 2007, Atlanta Chapter participated in Gulf Coast Katrina Relief Weekend V with Junior Branch representatives from Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Gulf Coast chapters.
- In March 2007, 8 Junior Branch delegates and 2 adult chaperones attended the Smoky Mountains Mini Camp in Knoxville.
- In February 2007, Atlanta Chapter participated in Gulf Coast Katrina Relief Weekend IV with Junior Branch representatives from Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Gulf Coast chapters.
A look at 2006
- In 2006, we had 12 delegates and leaders represent our chapter in 2 Villages (1 representative as a Junior Counselor) and 1 Seminar Camp.

- In November 2006, Atlanta Chapter participated in Gulf Coast Katrina Relief Weekend III with Junior Branch representatives from Atlanta and Gulf Coast chapters.
- In October 2006, 5 Junior Branch delegates attended the National Board Meeting held in Cincinnati where the Atlanta Area Steering Committee became an officially recognized Chapter.
- In June 2006, CISV Atlanta Chapter hosted a Mini Camp with Junior Branch members from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, and Rocky Mountain Denver Chapters.
- In February 2006, Atlanta Chapter participated in Gulf Coast Katrina Relief Weekend II with Junior Branch and adult representatives from Atlanta, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, and Gulf Coast chapters.

- In November 2004, CISV Atlanta Steering Committee hosted its first Day Camp Fun Day to recruit local Atlanta families.
- In October 2004, 2 Junior Branch delegates attended the National Board Meeting held in Cincinnati where the Atlanta Area Interest Group became an officially recognized Steering Committee.
