Over the past year CISV International has been working with corporate partner momondo to produce ‘school-kits’. The kits are for use with 11-year-olds and are based on activities many of us will be know from our programs – Stereotypes and Labels. To go with the kits are some short films, which feature children at Village hosted by CISV Brazil. Teachers will be able to download and use the materials in their classrooms – and can even enter a competition to win a trip for their whole class. The school kits will be launched on Thursday 26 October 2017!
MORE ABOUT THE SCHOOL-KITS
The school-kits are branded with momondo and CISV, and we hope they will share our joint messages of breaking down barriers, celebrating diversity, and increasing inter-cultural understanding. You can read more about momondo’s Open Your World campaign and their support for CISV here.
The films will have sub-titles in 17 languages but at first the school kits will only be available in English. We hope to make them available in other languages very quickly. If you or someone you know can help with translation, please let me know.
If the school-kits are as popular as we hope they will be, momondo will be looking to develop some more with us.
MORE ABOUT THE PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN
On Thursday 26 October momondo will be promoting the school kits through their media contacts around the world and through social media. CISV International will be sharing the campaign on social media and on www.cisv.org
This is an exciting campaign that will help raise CISV’s profile! We would love it if your NA (and your Chapters) would share links on social media, on your website, and with your contacts in schools. You might even want to use the school-kits when you visit a school to talk about CISV or when you hold a recruitment event.
On 26 October, I will send you a press/media release about the initiative that you may wish to share with your media contacts.
WHAT THE CAMPAIGN COULD MEAN FOR YOUR NA
The campaign could mean you get more enquiries about joining CISV or going to a programme. If you are a smaller NA and you are concerned about how you could deal with more enquiries, please get in touch with our Communications Team and they can discuss some ways that could help you with this.
You might also get enquiries about the school-kits and the partnership with momondo – please refer any enquiries about momondo and the partnership with CISV directly to me.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about the partnership and this initiative, please ask me.
Kind regards,
Denise Farrar
